Verifying Elektromotive, a UK-based firm that designs and manufactures electric vehicle charging stations, has been granted a patent for its Elektrobay charging station. Introduced in 2006, the Elektrobay was the first public charging station installed in the UK on the streets of Westminster in London.

British company Elektromotive has unveiled a groundbreaking tool for monitoring and invoicing electricity drawn from vehicle charging stations. It will be installed at all Elektrobay charging stations of which there are already 160 across the UK.

However, now one of its leading universities has signed one of the largest electric vehicle infrastructure deals, with Brighton-based Elektromotive the beneficiary.
