The vision document describes a self-sustaining market in 2030 for fuel cell electric vehicles and renewably hydrogen, and the strategic priorities necessary for realizing it. The CaFCP document envisions 1,000 hydrogen stations enabling upwards of 1,000,000 fuel electric vehicles on California roads in 2030.

At the competence center for high-voltage battery technology at Gaimersheim, just outside the main plant in Ingolstadt, Audi specialists are developing the traction batteries for future electric mobility. A first test setup located near Ingolstadt recently started supplying the grid. Fast charging and Audi wireless charging.

A January 2007 Pacific National Laboratory study shows that if we woke up tomorrow and all our vehicles could plug in, todays grid could support more than three-quarters of them charging at night without building a single power plant. Dont PHEVs just shift pollution from gasoline cars to power plants?

In the Hawkins Electrical Guide, copy right 1928, there is a entire chapter on electric Automobiles. Now several compies aremaking electric cars. One of them is bringing out a nice looking 4-passenger electric with a 110 mile range. If a go-cart cant legally drive there, then this thing wont be able to either.
