He wrote a letter to the New Yorker in a bid to set the record straight on the electric cars he has owned over the years. The original piece by Peter J Boyer assumed that Hanks had at one time owned the EV1 briefly touted by GM. I own that car, and it is still driven every day, albeit by one of my crack staff of employees.
