As the economies of scale disappear for ICE, so too will they disappear for hybrids that depend on the existence of ICE. BYD should be accelerating full speed on pure BEVs, but they waste half their effort looking to the past with hybrid technologies - technologies that have been shown in numerous studies to be a major source of toxic emissions, even when charged consistently.
