Since 2012, Tesla has successfully delivered over 6 million vehicles worldwide, an amazing accomplishment for such a young automaker. Fisker has asked the judge overseeing its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings for permission to sell remaining Ocean electric SUVs to a leasing firm at a fraction of their original price, Reuters reported Wednesday. The company hopes to offload 3,321 Oceans to American Lease at a price of $14,000 each, according to the report, which cites a court.

Hybrids and plug-in hybrids accounted for a record 11% of U.S. car sales in the first quarter, reports Automotive News, citing data from Cox Automotive. Sales of hybrids more than doubled in Q1 compared to a year earlier, the Cox data showed, while plug-in hybrid sales rose 59% in the quarter. Owner loyalty was also strong, with 42% of hybrid.
