Disney's Robots Use Rockets to Stick the Landing

It’s hard to think of a more dramatic way to make an entrance than falling from the sky. While it certainly happens often enough on the silver screen, whether or not it can be done in real life is a tantalizing challenge for our entertainment robotics team at Disney Research. Falling is tricky for two reasons. The first and most obvious is what Douglas Adams referred to as “the sudden stop at the end.

Chevy Needs A Bolt Pickup To Compete When Tariffs End

Comment on Onvo has prioritized low energy consumption from day 1, says Nio sub-brand chief by Neehaw Asinine

CN EV Post

@GustavoMan627 In reply to GustavoMan627. There is very little battery swap in Europe and NO Battery Swap in the US. Hence, yes efficiency is very important. As Li Bin said, you pay alot for battery capacity , even with Battery Swap. Having an inefficient car, regardless of cost or size means you are just wasting range or performance or both. And battery SWAP by definition alone will always be less-efficient than an equivalent non-battery swap car.

Don’t believe the haters: Why rumours of Tesla’s impending death have been greatly exaggerated

Rely on the headlines and you’d be forgiven for thinking Tesla is about to fizzle out in an electrified puff as quickly as it arrived on the car scene. It’s turbulent times for the brand that has reshaped the industry with its electric car offerings. In the past few months Tesla sales globally have dropped for the first time since 2020, the share price has taken a hit, revenue has fallen and the company has announced it is shedding 10 per cent of its work force.

@Neehaw Asinine In reply to Neehaw Asinine. Well, if you have a battery swap within 3 km i think efficiency it's not a priority. Most if the people use their car inside the city and occasionally you do longer trips, 100km more range or less.in my view doesn't make any difference at least not for me.

The fact that Mr Li Bin had to think about it over a whole CNY holiday to make a decision, speaks volumes as to why NIO is performing so badly compared to other EV OEMs.
