The refreshed 2024 Tesla Model 3—codenamed "Highland" by the automaker—is now available in the U.S. Deliveries are expected to start as soon as later this month. The U.S.-spec Model 3 Highland appeared on Tesla's website overnight, with two configurations available. The base single-motor rear-wheel drive version starts at $38,990.

The EPA on Monday announced another round of funding for all-electric and low-emission school buses under its Clean School Bus Program. Nearly $1 billion will go to 67 applicants, the EPA said in a press release. The agency has also set up an online dashboard showing where the new school buses will be going. The funds will help purchase over 2,700.

It also exceeds Tesla’s overall sales in 2019, when the electric vehicle maker sold approximately 367,500 vehicles globally. The Model Y has always been popular in China, and this became quite evident in December 2023.

German automaker BMW is making a major move toward EV production by ditching gas-powered vehicle manufacturing from its plant in Munich, Germany. BMW said it expects to spend €650 million to update the factory site with four buildings, including a vehicle assembly line that will explicitly produce EVs.
