A new University of Michigan study compares the cost of ownership for EVs and internal-combustion vehicles across 14 U.S. cities, finding that the path to cost parity between the two varies by region. Tesla is expanding its presence in Texas as it snapped up a building located in Hutto, located about 25 miles north of its Gigafactory in Austin. Tesla plans at least $1.5 million in renovations to the building, which is located off of U.S. Route 79 and County Road 199.
