SpaceX’s Starlink may land in SriLanka next after President Ranil Wickremesinghe approved the satellite internet service. President Wickremesinghe greenlit the launch of Starlink internet in SriLanka over the weekend. Starlink internet may launch in SriLanka after a two-week public consultation period.
Starlink received a license in SriLanka, enabling it to start operations there. According to the Sri Lankan President’s office, the local telecommunications regulator issued a license to SpaceX, permitting it to provide Starlink services in the country. It is also providing free internet to schools in remote areas.
