One of those may be the e6 all-electric crossover built by Chinese manufacturer BYD. Now that the 2011 Nissan Leaf and 2011 Chevy Volt have reached showrooms--a handful of them, anyhow--a new crop of electric vehicles will launch into the market for 2011.

BYD Auto reportedly has sold less than 100 of its F3DM (dual-mode) plug-in hybrid electric vehicles ( earlier post ) through August. Earlier this year, the Chinese automaker unveiled the e6, the world’s first 5-seater EV that can run 400 kilometers on a full charge, at the Detroit Motor Show.

BYD will present its “Three Green Dreams” strategy, which focuses on renewable energy generation (solar power); environmentally friendly energy storage (Li-ion iron phosphate batteries); and energy consumption (plug-in vehicles).
