Chrysler’s Dodge brand introduced the 2014 Dodge Durango full-size SUV at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. The three-row SUV is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission that improves fuel economy up to 9% (for the V-6 model) as well as a range of other enhancements.

It rolled out several “final-edition” versions of the Charger and Challenger before cutting the cord, and now, we’re seeing a similar approach with the Durango. CarsDirect found the pricing, which shows a $7,100 cut on 2025 Durango Hellcats. Those variants are ok, but they’re nowhere near as exciting as the Durango Hellcat.

Today I have a 2024 Dodge Durango Alchemi (we're not going to follow Dodge's capitalization on this one, we typically don't follow the OEMs' style, though there are exceptions) parked in my garage. SRT tuning makes the lumbering Durango handle a bit better than it should, especially in Sport mode. It's roomy.

Seeking to milk the most it can out of its Hemi cash cow before the thing finally goes dry for good, Dodge is introducing the 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey edition. It seeks to keep the Hemi-powered party going, marking the two decades of the venerable Hemi being available under the hood of new Durango SUVs in some form or another.

It’s now the Dodge Durango’s turn, with Stellantis announcing “last call” editions of the V8-equipped SUV. While the Durango SRT 392 and Durango SRT Hellcat will still be on offer for another year, Dodge has decided to limit production and change some names on the sendoff models.
