GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. todays answer is "Yes -- but not yet." In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Expected deposits in 2009 and first sales in CA in 2010.
