Driving around town, stuck in stop-and-go rush hour freeway traffic or coasting down hills will recharge the battery. With the ID4 rated at a 250-mile driving range, recharging stops were planned to happen with 40-50-percent battery remaining. The battery state-of-charge and mileage range are monitored in real-time by a dash gauge.
