The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC), South Korea’s antitrust regulator, has launched an investigation against US-based EV maker Tesla over the company’s alleged “exaggerated” claims about its electric cars’ range. A review report about the issue has been sent to the electric vehicle maker.

In 2014, Volkswagen of America announced that starting with the launch of the zero-tailpipe emissions battery-electric 2015 e-Golf ( earlier post ), it would invest in projects to offset the carbon emissions created from the e-Golf on a full lifecycle basis: production, distribution and up to approximately 36,000 miles (57,936 km) of driving.

Nevada is home to the only existing lithium mine in the US and another is currently under construction near the Oregon line 220 miles (354 kilometers) north of Reno. The Bureau of Land Management released more than 2,000 pages of documents in a draft environmental impact statement last week for the Rhyolite Ridge mine.
