FEV’s 698 cm 3 Extremely Downsized Engine. will show its Extremely Downsized Engine (EDE) at next week’s 2010 SAE World Congress in Detroit. Direct injection (DI) is integrated by replacing the twin spark ignition with a single spark plug on the exhaust side with the DI device in place of the removed spark plug on the intake side.
