The AMAS common appliqué kit consists of the bi-wire active safety kit and the autonomy kit. The AMAS JCTD goal is to standardize these kits across both the Army and Marine Corps and give the warfighter the ability to transform ordinary vehicles into optionally-manned vehicles.

The production plug-in hybrid has a number of key changes from the 125 prototype demo units that were deployed in the field for testing and customer feedback. The demo units defaulted to EV mode. The on-board charging system accommodates single pulse DC 110/220 volt input, and is compliant to SAE J1772 standards.
