The Memorandum of Understanding commits both governments to work together on developing their respective regulations to cut greenhouse gas emissions from light-duty vehicles, such as those currently in effect in Canada, California and the 13 US states that have adopted California’s standards.

The MY14 B-Class Electric Vehicle will be available beginning in mid-July to dealers in California; Connecticut; Maine; Maryland; Massachusetts; New Jersey; New York; Oregon; Rhode Island; and Vermont. The standard equipment package includes a head unit with 5.8 50-state availability will be announced in 2015.

LED headlamps are optional and LED taillights and DRLs are standard.

Stellantis is reportedly no longer allocating gasoline-only vehicles to the fourteen states with leadership that has agreed to adhere to the emission standards set by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). this means dealer allocation will prioritize powertrains based on how restrictive the local emissions standards happen to be.
