Ford Motor Company is lowering the fuel economy ratings for its 2013- and 2014-model year hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles, as well as most 2014-model year Fiestas. Using technology from the 2016 Chevrolet Volt propulsion system ( earlier post ), Malibu Hybrid will offer an estimated combined fuel economy rating exceeding 45 mpg (5.22 EGHR improves engine warm up and assures consistent fuel economy performance in cold weather. It is due in Chevrolet dealer showrooms in spring 2016.

Driver behavior has so much influence on not only fuel efficiency but on the overall maintenance and life of a vehicle. The US Department of Energy reports that aggressive driving decreases fuel economy by up to 33 percent. It also is being tested on Escape and Fusion. No driver interaction is required.

Ford is hosting the cinema events in celebration of the new 2010 Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid, the most fuel-efficient midsize sedan in America and the official vehicle of the hit television show. Sales of the Fusion and Milan hybrid sedans reached 1,686 units in December, representing 8.0% of all Fusion and Milan sales. EcoBoost provides customers up to 20% improvement in fuel economy and a 15% reduction in emissions versus larger-displacement engines. The conquest rate for the Taurus SHO is 60%.
