Ford is cutting the prices on its entire F150 Lightning electric pickup truck lineup, with reductions ranging from $9,979 for the Pro to $6,079 for the top-of-the-line Platinum Extended Range.

Ford has cut F-150 Lightning prices by nearly $10,000 on some configurations of the all-electric pickup, while other variants are seeing price cuts by at least $6,000. However, the upgrades are already taking effect on the price of the vehicles. The XLT 311A was also cut by this amount and now starts t $54,995.

The First Edition is sold out, but the GT and GT Performance hit dealers in the fall 2021. For comparison, the base Mach-E with rear-wheel drive and equipped with the extended range battery is rated with a 305-mile all-electric driving range. Price, Timing and Warranty. Conversions are mostly for the Prius, with a few for the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner hybrid SUVs. At these prices, people are buying the "environmental feature" -- they want to be among the first owners of the worlds cleanest extended-range vehicles. They are early adopters, buying "Version 1.0"

Fuel cell cars should be plug-in hybrids so that the fuel cell is used only for extended range, and the fuel cell stack and hydrogen storage can be smaller. Toyota has had a battery recycling program since 1998 and even offers dealers a $200 bounty to ensure batteries arent just thrown away (described at end of linked document).
