GM will use the technology to collect low-level waste heat and use it in important ways, allowing their EVs to accelerate faster, charge faster, and go further.

That frugal operation is boosted by a 924-volt architecture (versus 400 volts for Tesla, and 800 for Porsche's Taycan) whose benefits include restoring up to 300 miles of range in 20 minutes on a 350-kilowatt DC fast charger. That's another industry high. Those battery cells are fixed with adhesive and cured for 26 minutes.

Nonetheless, I do agree that it wastes of energy, reduces range and should NOT be mandatory. We should have built more Nuclear power plants and created a nuclear waste recycling program. When most of America will be reluctant to buy a GM car because the company might go bankrupt how the hell did those in charge think bailing them out was a good idea? South Korea did that and Australia is going to be doing that.
