Honda bumps up mpg & power. turbo at 31 mpg city/38 highway/34 combined. mpg combined, with a 90-mile all-freeway run, using the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, the average bumped up to 40.8 non-turbo, fuel economy estimates are 30 mpg city/37 highway/37 combined. 50+ MPG and good handling, too.

Fuel economy is EPA rated at 23/29/25 mpg for the turbocharged CX-50. The EPA rates the base engine at 24 mpg city/30 highway/27 combined. Then again, with the roof having been reinforced to handle a three-person tent, it can easily handle a cargo carrier, or you can hook up a trailer for more flexibility.

The SE with 17-inch alloy wheels gets 53 mpg city/51 highway/52 combined, while the XSE and XSE Premium shod with 18-inch alloy wheels get 50/47/48. When you see it at the Toyota dealer in person, the experience will start all over again. Because of this we don’t address issues such as long-term reliability or total cost of ownership.
