Over the years the cost of producing efficient batteries will come down and the difference will get dropped. Governments all over the world are providing bonuses and incentives in the form of tax reduction and subsidies to promote the use and adaption of electric vehicles as it is an easier way to decrease pollution and improve air quality.

I’m talking about Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) , the official term for what many people call Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs). So how can these motorcycle-sized electric vehicles be priced at less than half the cost of even the cheapest electric cars available in the US? Err, actually, I probably shouldn’t call them “cars”.

The Torrance Hillside Overlay district , covers most of the historic Hollywood Riviera neighborhood where the Creative Greenius lives and I can tell you that it’s a zoning law that is pure politics. Most have no idea. We’ve now got some Mo going with: California solar loan financing that will eliminate the big up front cost of solar. The property owners pay off the loans as an assessment item on their property tax bills. That’s certainly the case here in Torrance, California where I live and work.
