Unionized Ford workers in Louisville, Kentucky, and General Motors employees from Spring Hill, Tennessee, have voted no on the contract agreement reached by the United Auto Workers. & On Monday, production workers at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant and Louisville Assembly Plant voted against the tentative agreement.

But General Motors wasn’t far behind and managed to settle things with the union early Monday morning. It was apparently too much for the company to endure and news broke early on Monday that General Motors (now standing alone against the UAW) had likewise reached a tentative contract agreement with the union.

Ford Motor Company Executive Chairman Bill Ford has asked union members to come together and end the UAW strike before it hampers the business’ ability to invest in future products and facilities. Ford said the strike at the Kentucky plant is harming tens of thousands of Americans who work for parts suppliers and Ford dealers.
