(MSRI) team will develop a new solid oxide fuel cell design that generates power directly from ammonia at temperatures under 650 °C. If successful, the MSRI team will greatly reduce the cost of solid oxide fuel cells while providing a high-efficiency, long-life power generating option with a reduced carbon footprint.
