Ørsted got a huge Tesla battery storage system for the world’s single largest offshore wind farm

Ørsted just bought a 300 MW Tesla battery energy storage system for the UK’s Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm. The Tesla Megapack battery storage system will be installed on the site of Ørsted’s onshore converter station for Hornsea 3, in Swardeston, near Norwich, in East Anglia. It’s expected to be operational by the end of 2026.
