Bought most of the bits for the conversion in December 2010. 8 Oct 2012: AC55 motor is in. Its resting on a chassis crosspiece, still needs to get welded to the motor mounts. Also don't want to lose any strength on the clutch since the new motor has more torque. They shipped in and I took delivery in May 2011.

He said that he would sell me a motor that can lift about 3.5 He said I shouldn't overvolt this motor. Can they be overvolted to say 96V?

I acquired a 1st Gen Nissan Leaf motor, transmission, inverter, and much of the wiring harnesses to them. It had been sitting for the past decade so I'm going to replace the full brake system (going all disc) as well as switching it from a swing axle to IRS (pan is a 1966.). Plus a set of axles.
