SpaceX’s Starlink may land in SriLanka next after President Ranil Wickremesinghe approved the satellite internet service. President Wickremesinghe greenlit the launch of Starlink internet in SriLanka over the weekend. Starlink internet may launch in SriLanka after a two-week public consultation period.
Starlink is expected to gain access to SriLanka after its parliament passes a new telecommunications bill. The new bill will allow Starlink to apply for a license and launch its services in SriLanka. Under this category, Starlink may apply to be a licensed service provider in SriLanka.
