The current approach of the fuel tax is simple, fair, and the collection and payment infrastructure is in place. Since a fuel tax is pre-paid, if we go to a mileage tax, there will be a major shortfall of funds in all jurisdictions.

There is no room for them to hide the taxes or blame it on successful "rich" people. The Democrats have reached too far. Call it the EV2?
