SpaceX’s Starlink may land in Sri Lanka next after President Ranil Wickremesinghe approved the satellite internet service. President Wickremesinghe greenlit the launch of Starlink internet in Sri Lanka over the weekend. Starlink internet may launch in Sri Lanka after a two-week public consultation period.

Starlink received a license in Sri Lanka, enabling it to start operations there. According to the Sri Lankan President’s office, the local telecommunications regulator issued a license to SpaceX, permitting it to provide Starlink services in the country. Starlink is connecting people worldwide through wars and natural disasters.
