P2G systems use electrolysis powered by renewable energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen—i.e., P2G converts electrical energy to chemical energy in the form of hydrogen. Power-to-Gas concept. Currently, P2G is being deployed in Europe and Canada but is only at the early demonstration phase in California.

Preliminary extractives analysis demonstrates that most of the salt can be removed by controlling two factors; firstly time of the initial washing and secondly, salinity of the water being used. By repetitive washing (in Soxhlet apparatus), the ash in the solid fraction is reduced to 6% as compared to the feed which ranges between 16-37 %.

The power electronics module in the engine compartment converts the battery’s direct current (DC) to alternating current; a DC converter couples the 12-volt electrical system with the high-voltage system.
