Porsche increases stake in electric sports car company Rimac to 15.5%

Porsche has increased its stake in technology and sports car company Rimac Automobili to 15.5%. In June 2018, the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer purchased a 10% stake in Rimac. The Croatian company develops and produces electromobility components and also produces electrically powered super sports cars in-house.

The Volvo Car Corporation has begun production of the C30 Electric ( earlier post ); initial deliveries to leasing customers, mainly companies, authorities and governmental bodies, will take place immediately after the summer. The car is recharged from a regular household power socket. A full recharge takes about 7 hours.

Talaria Sting MX5 launched as low-cost, high-speed electric dirt bike

The top speed of 95 km/h (59 mph) isn’t likely to be seen on the dirt very often, but that will definitely help encourage some riders to push the bike to max on the tarmac. Fisker reports more than $100M in revenue Jan-Apr 2012; more than $1B in funding since 2007

Bultaco brand returning to market with electric two-wheelers

The new company unveiled the Rapitán and Rapitán Sport prototypes—close approximations to the Bultaco motorcycles that will be brought to market later in 2014. Maximum speed is 145 km/h (90 mph) and expected range is 200 km (124 miles) in the city; 110 km (68 miles) on the highway; and 140 km (87 miles) combined.

The CARe 500 has a range of 120 km (75 miles) and a maximum speed of 120 km/h (75 mph). The CARe 500 recharges in 6 to 8 hours using a normal 230 V power socket. The CARe 500 is manufactured by the Swedish company EVadapt. A service network comprising approximately 650 branches ensure the mobility of these electric cars.
