Voyage, a startup in the autonomous taxi space, entered into a long-term strategic partnership with Renovo, a mobility technology company, to license Renovo’s AWare OS for use across its global fleet of automated vehicles. These deployments will feature Voyage’s custom automated driving system (ADS) running on Renovo’s AWare OS.

While San Francisco was one of Waymo’s early testing sites, it is lagging behind the Phoenix metropolitan region in terms of autonomous ride-hailing commercialization. Waymo began their operations and testing with Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans, but in 2018 the I-Pace was added to the fleet. The All-Electric Jaguar I-Pace.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 could become Waymo’s next self-driving taxi , deploying a new generation of the Google spinoff’s Waymo Driver autonomous-driving system, Reuters reports. These have all been plug-in cars, including the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid plug-in hybrid minivan and Jaguar I-Pace electric SUV.
