Los Angeles, Calif.; The commercial Blink Network charging locations will complement the residential Blink Network charging stations that ECOtality will install as project manager for The EV Project. The project is funded by the US Department of Energy through a federal stimulus grant of $114.8 ECOtality, Inc.

We’ve got big solar coming and big wind too, but those projects are not built yet and neither are the transmission lines to connect them to the grid. All the commercial and government buildings in the state are ready to have their roofs raised too. Seems like a perfect use for some stimulus money, don’t it?

Last week, at the Model S unveiling in Los Angeles, Tesla revealed that an optional “ QuickCharg e &# battery would get a full charge in 45 minutes from a 480V outlet. 99.99% of the infrastructure is already there connected to every building and running down every steet.
