Ford unveiled the all-electric 2022 F-150 Lightning Pro, a version of the electric F-150 Lightning ( earlier post ) targeted at commercial customers. More than 145 million miles of telematics data show that for the average F-150 commercial customer in the US, 95% of their daily travel is less than 174 miles.

EDI’s utility solution set is expansive, now spanning Class 3 light duty, Class 4-6 medium duty, and Class 7-8 heavy-duty commercial work trucks. The vehicle, based upon a Chevy Silverado 3500 Class 3 commercial fleet truck, is the only Class 3 commercial work truck that has 30-40 miles (48-64 km) of all-electric range, EDI says.

The PRO is the basic work truck, starting with a smaller of the two battery packs (still with 230 miles of range), but retailing for less than $40,000, including four-wheel drive and 775 foot-pounds of torque. The XLT adds the larger battery, increasing the range to 300 miles and adding some standard equipment for just under $53,000.
