The study found that children exposed to high levels of PAHs in New York City had full scale and verbal IQ scores that were 4.31 In urban areas motor vehicles are a major source of PAHs.

If you needed another reason why we should reduce fossil fuel-related pollution, then this may be it. According to a new study, pregnant women exposed to air pollutants tend to give birth to lower IQ babies. In urban areas motor vehicles are a major source of PAHs and harmful air pollution.
