The F6 DM uses ferrous batteries, with no lithium content, that BYD says are high-energy density and low cost. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle technologies are not yet competitive due primarily to the high cost of advanced batteries. BYD also developed the motors and software for the system. People wont buy a full car.
