Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) jointly delivered four units of the electric vehicle i-MiEV to the Principality of Monaco on 15 November. According to the terms of the MoU, the i-MiEVs, which delivery mainly to corporate customers in Japan began in July, were delivered to the Principality of Monaco.

More than 150 leading marine scientists from 26 countries are calling for immediate action by policymakers to reduce CO 2 emissions sharply so as to avoid widespread and severe damage to marine ecosystems from increasing ocean acidification—the “other CO2 problem”. They issued this warning in the Monaco Declaration, released on 30 January.

Europcar Groupe has already implemented numerous environmental initiatives within the scope of a Green charter certified by Bureau Veritas in June 2008, including a recent announcement to display CO2 data for all its vehicle rentals. To date the Alliance has signed two final agreements in Europe with Portugal and the Principality of Monaco.

Nissan and the city of Seattle have joined forces with the belief that electric cars will offer one of the best solutions in the battle against carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. According to Seattle mayor Greg Nickels, the goal is to combine clean, green electricity with the city’s transportation system.
