Global CO2 emissions up 3% in 2011; per capita CO2 emissions in China reach EU levels

The United States remain one of the largest emitters of CO2, with 17.3 Japan (4%). The largest growth took place in China (+22%), Saudi Arabia (+13%) and Japan (+12%).
