Recently, DEVC Education Outreach Coordinator Dave Pence established an EV Club at the Horizons K-8 School in Boulder, where students are given hands-on experience converting the internal combustion gasoline engines of scooters, minibikes, bicycles and tricycles to electric. “We Even with climate change, they’ve had to be educated.”

I pulled an old issue of Sierra (the magazine of the Sierra Club) from July/August 1997. The USA got the leap on everyone else with solar, wind and other fossil free energy as well as electric cars and other alternative fuel vehicles. There was a nice selection of books, especially guides to the flora and fauna of the High Sierras.
