NExBTL Pilot Test Shows Lower NOx and CO2 Emissions with Renewable Diesel

Initial results from a joint pilot test of 14 series-produced Mercedes-Benz trucks and buses running NExBTL renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil, HVO) since mid-2008 show a reduction in NO x emissions of up to 15%, and in CO 2 emissions of more than 60% compared to fossil fuels.

Alstom to build 14 Coradia iLint fuel-cell trains for LNVG

The trains, which will convey travellers between Cuxhaven, Bremerhaven, Bremervörde and Buxtehude from December 2021, will replace the diesel multiple units of the transport authority Elbe-Weser-Verkehrsbetriebe (evb) and will reduce the pollutant emission in daily service to zero. The companies also signed a 30-year maintenance agreement.
