The German Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport Dr Volker Wissing launched an international e-fuels dialogue in Munich at the conference “ E-Fuels – Paving the Way for Clean Mobility ”. The conference is focused on the potential of e-fuels and strategies for a successful market ramp-up.

ISO will develop an International Standard (ISO 13065) to address sustainability issues linked to bioenergy. The decision to develop the standard responds to the growing international interest in bioenergy, and the current lack of globally harmonized sustainability criteria. We clearly need biomass as a source of renewable energy.

The gap between the most- (Norwegian Air Shuttle) and least- (British Airways) fuel-efficient airlines on 2014 transatlantic operations was 51%—roughly twice the performance gap between the best and worst US airlines on domestic operations (25% in 2014), according to a newly released study by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT).
