The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded $8 million to communities in 21 states and Puerto Rico to reduce emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of diesel engines through the agency’s Diesel Emission Reduction Act ( DERA ) program. Louis Clean Cities is replacing six school busses. New Jersey and New York.

In May, the Oakland Unified school district announced the conversion of its entire school bus fleet to EVs. With the help of grant money from the EPA’s Clean School Bus Program and the California Air Resources Board , Zum purchased 74 electric school buses and bidirectional chargers.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of grant funding to implement projects which reduce emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of older diesel engines. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of $26 million in grant funding to establish clean diesel projects aimed at reducing emissions from the US’ existing fleet of diesel engines. Since the first year of the DERA program in 2008, EPA has awarded nearly 700 grants across the US.
