A team of researchers in China suggest that, in the context of promoting the use of clean fuel vehicles and increasing vehicle fuel efficiency, CO 2 emissions of China’s urban passenger transport sector could reach a peak of 225 MtCO 2 in 2030. Mercedes-Benz is presenting the taxi version of the B 200 Natural Gas Drive at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. kg/100 km, corresponding to CO 2 emissions of 117 g/km. kg/100 km, corresponding to CO 2 emissions of 117 g/km. From 2014 the B 200 Natural Gas Drive will also be available as a taxi version.

Taxi Medallion Management in Chicago has purchased 12 Ford Transit Connect Taxis running on compressed natural gas (CNG) for its fleet. The purchase is part of the company’s goal of reducing emissions by 25%, said Michael Levine, CEO of Taxi Medallion Management. The taxis have a 39-foot turning radius.

Santa Ana, California-based California Yellow Cab has ordered 25 units of the compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane (LPG) engine prep package for the Ford Transit Connect Taxi. The flexible interior of the Transit Connect is suited for both taxi service and conversion to CNG and LPG. Propane also burns cleaner than gasoline.

Program fleets significantly save on fuel costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by running vehicles on American-made propane autogas. Autogas is cleaner than gasoline and costs around $1.50 the city of Vestavia Hills, Lee County and Lewis Pest Control in Alabama.
