Shell has selected Ascension Parish in Louisiana as the location for a potential natural gas-to-liquids (GTL) facility. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will begin moving forward this year with projects that benefit the industry and those who travel throughout St. James and Ascension parishes.

Air Products will increase the supply of hydrogen to Marathon Petroleum Company LP, a subsidiary of Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO), at Marathon’s Garyville, La. The new pipeline extension, which is in the project execution phase, will connect Air Products’ Texas hydrogen system to the Louisiana hydrogen system.
