Denmark is planning a hydrogen island designed to generate about 1 million tonnes of offshore hydrogen starting in 2030. Hydrogen is thus greasing the wheels of the global transition to cleaner energy. Almost all hydrogen produced today is designated as brown, black, or gray, meaning it was generated by burning natural gas or coal.
