The CO 2 removal technology was retrofitted to the SMRs, which produce hydrogen to assist in the making of cleaner burning transportation fuels by refinery customers on Air Products’ Gulf Coast hydrogen pipeline network.

And Germany isn’t the only country investing in hydrogen technologies. In the fight against climate change, many countries have pledged to reduce their CO2 emissions to net zero. Hydrogen is thus greasing the wheels of the global transition to cleaner energy. The process emits about 10 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of hydrogen.

As more renewables come online, battery electrics just keep getting cleaner and greener.

Caroline Reichert, an RWE spokeswoman, noted that the idea here is to ensure that "a car can be recharged in Italy in exactly the same way as in Denmark, Germany or France." That being said, even a car that derives its energy from coal power plants would be far more clean. excluding coal power in china.
