While in some cases it’s actually true (the most expensive of charge points vs. the most efficient of internal combustion cars, like my 2008 MINI Cooper Clubman that often gets almost 40 MPG), for the most part these are just hit pieces to sow controversy and generate revenue on ad-heavy websites. When Clean Fleet Report has the 2025 Tucson Hybrid for a full week, as opposed to a couple hours, we will report the efficiency from real world driving conditions. If you opt for the Blue trim, the fuel economy is rated at 38/38/38/.

The propulsion qualification is important as the 2021 Volkswagen ID4 AWD is faster than all of them, even though it isn’t marketed as a sports SUV. 2022 Jetta and Jetta GLI—HP & MPG. Topping 40 mpg on the highway is a big plus for this compact sedan, though we can’t talk how it felt on the road–yet.
