Demand for petrol is continuing to grow as diesel declines—petrol registrations increased by 16% in February. The trend for diesel registrations declining and increases in SUV registrations, combined with rising gasoline registrations, follows the recent news that CO 2 emissions increased by 0.3 respectively. g/km in 2017.

Citroen’s new family of turbo-boosted petrol engines have helped the cut greenhouse gas emissions by roughly 25 per cent. Each of the new PureTech engines offers equivalent or superior power compared to the previous generation of engines, despite offering significant improvements in fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions.

French carmaker Citroen has lifted the lid on its latest generation supermini the C3 and in a first for the manufacturer the car will be available in a variant which produces less than 100g/km of CO2. Tags: Citroen C3. Which results in this car being a category A car for VED, with a tax rate of zero.

As we edge closer to the eagerly anticipated launched of the Citroen C3 supermini at the Frankfurt Motor Show, more details have emerged about the best-seller. Indeed the HDi DPFS 90 diesel version, which will be available from launch, will be the first full production Citroen to emit less than 100g/km of CO2 with emission levels of 99g/km.
