Nine BEVs and PHEVs had positive growth in Q3, while 19 models saw declines in Q3, although two of those models (Honda Clarity and Mazda MX-30) have been discontinued, sales of the Toyota bZ4X were halted while they fixed a mechanical issue; and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is in transition to the new 2023 model.

The Mazda MX-30 EV will be pulled from the U.S. While the small crossover will live on in other parts of the world with a rotary range extender, mimicking what BMW did with the i3 with some Mazda-specific flair, the company’s first all-electric vehicle seems to have been a flop in North America.& & Let’s be objective.

I t wasn't that long ago that I remember a Chrysler ad that bragged about how its new Charger, with the big V 8, was a hybrid. Now, the very ungreen Chrysler is changing its tune. In the last few weeks, not only has Chrysler made announcements, so has Mazda, Hyundai, and Nissan. it burned gas and rubber.
