Throw in Chinese electric car companies like BYD, MG Motors, Great Wall and others, and Hyundai India has some serious competition. ​ Ultimately, Hyundai can’t treat India like a 3rd world car market and keep dumping pollution cars on it this decade. We are glad Hyundai India is seeing the light now at least.

Here are some numbers for November 2021- Maruti leads the passenger vehicle sector with sales of 109,726 units - of course Maruti has 0 electric cars in their portfolio, so all of those are pollution cars. Last, Chinese car companies will set up shop in India. We don’t have data of eVerito’s sold by Mahindra.

” In the South Korea, Europe and US markets, Kia sells two versions of the E6 - the 58 kWh which offers a range of 375 km and the 77 kWh pack which goes upto 485 km. This shows where the Korean companies are against the Chinese giants. In Germany less than 50% of all cars sold were pollution cars.
